Dr. Britton is a Paediatric Infectious Diseases physician and Early Career Researcher based at the

Dr. Mastura Monif

Dr. Monif is a researcher in the field of neuroscience at Monash University. Her research goals are to understand the neuroinflammatory and neuroimmunological processes in a number of neurological conditions

Dr. Tom Pollak

Dr. Pollak is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London and a specialty trainee general adult psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. My specialist clinical interest is in neuropsychiatry.

Dr. Pollak is a neurologist, with special interest in the diagnosis and management of Alzheimer disease and

related causes of dementia.

The World Encephalitis Day Alliance (WEDA) is a group of non-profits that aim to create a world

that recognizes and understands encephalitis and its long-term impact.

 

WEDA addresses the challenges being faced by those affected by encephalitis around the globe,

regardless of cause, through education and increased awareness through

World Encephalitis Day (February 22nd).

 

WEDA was founded in January 2020 and currently consists of five non-profits; The Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis Foundation, Autoimmune Encephalitis Alliance, Encephalitis Society, Encephalitis411, and Hashimoto's Encephalopathy SREAT Alliance (HESA).

Each group has its own focus and area of expertise, but have in common an unwavering

desire to change the lives of those affected by encephalitis.
